Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council's River Rangers Camp - a free camp, sponsored in part by Weed & Seed and operated in conjuntion with the Providence Recreation Department and the Urban League, operates during July and August from 10a-2p Monday-Thursday in Merino Park and Donigian Park.  On Mondays and Tuesdays Donigian Park's Recreational Program also includes art activities and Girl Scouts from 10a-12p on Tuesdays.  Activities include park improvements, such as increased signage and decorative wood animals, and sporting activities like basketball.  The goal of the program is to help children take pride in and ownership of their local parks while helping to improve and maintain them.
